Not being able to hide the Spotlight content in the Leagues section is awful. The entire point of having a customized feed is to quickly access the content I am interested in. With this update, I can no longer do that because the Spotlight section takes up the top third of my screen with content you’re pushing. Absolutely unnecessary, frustrating, and a major step backward. As a whole, TheScore is a solid app. Good for checking scores and spreads. Articles have little to no depth.

The last update made it so you can’t remove the Spotlight items and also added a Recent Views bar at the top. These should both be optional in settings. In the past there was the ability to remove the spotlight/special events they added at the top. Also, the ability to turn on notifications for a game doesn’t work sometimes.

Used to use this app a ton back in the early days of Android. Going back to install it for the first time in years today on my Pixel 6 Pro/Android 13, and the app opens to a blank/black screen and never progresses. Repeatable after a force close and a full phone restart as well. Maybe an issue with the particular phone and/or Android version targeted? UPDATE: two days later app is up and working now. Not sure what changed. Enjoying the data as much as I remember. 2 stars updated to 4 stars now.

Have used and loved this app for a long time. But my god the way in which they do ads is horrendous and predatory. Anytime you click on a game you are bombarded with a massive ad on top or bottom of the screen that offsets the entire app by probably a 1/4th of your screen. It’s the most frustrating, pop-upy way of doing ads I’ve experienced. Idc I’d you have in app ads, but just have them load in correctly. Having an ad shift your entire screen a half second after it loads is very click-baity

My favorite part about this app’s widget was the scoreboard design… being able to see multiple scores for a league on one screen. With the latest update, it appears they’ve gone to a scrolling list of scores, one game at a time. I can’t find any setting to choose widget layout. It’s frustrating not being able to take a quick glance and see what the hockey scores and/or schedule is and instead needing to open the full app or click through the scroll.

This app is comprehensive and, in my opinion, offers the best content of any sports app. I would happily pay for an ad-free version of this app, it’s unfortunately not available though. But please, PLEASE stop these awful ads that pop up at the top of the app – if they’re not meant to trick us into clicking on them when they pop up under our thumbs, that’s surely how it seems. It’s infuriating and I’m already looking at other apps because of it.

Great app, especially the multi-sport widget. The only scoreboard app I have. A few things for improvement though: please add women sports like National Women’s Soccer League, UEFA Women, Softball, etc. Also please add other leagues like Scottish Premiership or Nippon Professional Baseball. For the user interface, can provide the option to keep the bottom menu bar (news, scores, favs, etc.) locked so you can navigate pages easier. The back arrow on the upper left of the screen doesn’t usually take me to the page I want right away. Thanks!

App is OK overall and I’d like to continue using it but in playoff final scores they don’t update the series W-L in a timely fashion. So, for instance, it correctly indicates that Dallas beat Phoenix earlier today but it still says Phoenix is up 2 games to 1 when it should indicate the series is now tied at 2 each. That is totally unacceptable and must be fixed.

Time to uninstall. What was once the best scoring app available, has now turned into one of the worst. Freezes up with ads, delayed scoring, sometimes shows no content after 10 seconds of loading. Terrible what has happened to this app. Used it for many years. After reading through all the reviews over the last couple months, looks like I’m not the only one annoyed either. Moving to Sports Alerts.

Great App! Really would recommend it. However there could be improvement in certain areas that would make things easier for the user. Navigation can be confusing sometimes but once you get used to it, it is pretty smooth sailing. Also can you guys implement a feature for the NHL where you can see the lineups for every game. For example, like who is playing on the first line, second line, third, etc.. Like how you guys do it for the Fifa matches. That would just my stars to 5 instantly.
