App is OK, however, the ‘widget’ is appalling! It’s so fragile and It constantly crashes, and then you get a white screen asking you to ‘tap’ to select a category, just takes you to the main app page. I have reinstalled, ‘forced stop’, and cleared cache’ nothing resolves. You need to get a 10 year old on the case to fix!

Thumbnail photos are actually wallet sized photos and too big for the real estate available. No room for headlines. Most headlines are cut off and all that is visible is the top half of the first line. Impossible to know what it says most of the time. Otherwise content looked to be on par but I don’t want to click every story just to see if it has interest for me or not. Uninstalled…and looking for another app.

I enjoy the app but 2 things really bother me. My phone screen is so sensitive (Samsung A42) that videos seems to play automatically. The annoying thing is once the video starts there’s no option to get out of it or go back until the video ends. Really annoying when it’s something you didn’t intend on watching! Secondly, as someone else mentioned below, some of the articles are really out of date and it sometimes feels like you’re looking at the same headlines for weeks (not on the main page).

For past three days I’ve not been able to connect to my sky app. Gets up to 33 percent and won’t load up. I’ve tried it on my phone, pad, and 4 different TVs and it’s struggling to connect. All my other streaming channels work. Are you having and issues? Could you please check. It’s just come on for 20 seconds picture all blocks. Not buffering. Then went back to black screen.

great app, nice layout and love having the ‘live tv’ link on top menu..but why is so much content out of date! the science topic especially..does anyone at sky app team actually check this! The entertainment segment is also unbelievably and unashamedly just the same story repeated in different words and different photos! Very bad content updating..needs proper monitoring. Typos and grammatical errors are also everywhere! copy anyone!!!

I switched to Sky after the BBC failed to report sensibly over brexit, and have not regretted it. This app works smoothly, and also gives live access to the Sky News TV channel, if needed. Notifications are too frequent for my needs and could do with being more customisable by news categories. (S20+ user).

I was looking for an alternative news app to the BBC as I was fed up with the poor standard of journalism and lack of serious content. Sky is definitely much better in that respect, but I just wish there was an ad free version available. It’d get more stars if there were less adverts

The layout and functionality are fine, just a pity Skynews has become a bit leftwing biased and obsessed with climate change instead of giving a more balanced view. Still no where near as bad as the BBC.

Really good app, up to date news as it comes, easy to watch videos, if you want to, and good coverage of uk and round world news. Have tried other apps but i found this the best, as its not like trying to read an on line news article, and you have to agree to cookies or something or simply get told you have to pay Also Sky app makes it self know by its own signiture sound when you switch on the internet.

It’s a great app but when you can’t read an article because a Higgidy advert covers the article and scrolls when you do then I just go to the BBC app instead. I understand the need for advertising but if I can’t read the article why bother having the app.
