Recent Kalimba Real Reviews
This app is already amazing! Great resource for kalimba players out there, especially those who don’t own one already. The app is a little bit clunky at times, but for something free it has a LOT of functionality and works like a charm. Only major request for the developers is to add a save button (or move it to be visible, I didn’t find one) when making a tab, and the keys when playing sometimes don’t register. Otherwise it’s perfect, no complaints.
I think it is a great app, helps you visualize what you are doing and, it is a very complex thing to create a tablature if you are not instructed in musical theory, so for complete neofites still some extra guidance is needed. Love the fact that u can create midi files and pdf to export, it would be great if u guys make a section with some basics for total beginners.
This is a great app for either composing or just playing around. I love the distortion effects, if I get it just right it makes some of the most beautiful music I’ve ever heard. The only complaint I have is that the UI is kinda hard to understand and navigate, but once you get the hang of it it’s manageable. Hats off to the developers for making a top notch music app.
It was okay. Song choices (tutorial/guide) are super limited (not all are on tune) One of the most usable digital kalimba (I’ve looked for apps but this is the closest to the actual) as of yet. Downside is you can’t save settings with this version and everytime you play, there’s ads. Guess it’s the developer’s way for you to buy the full version. —you also can’t exit the app with the back button. Works with home button then task killer—it’s a hassle if you’d ask me.
I love this app, it is great for a beginner and as a musical game. I gave only 4 stars because it is sometimes a bit slow, the user interface lacks a bit of intuitiveness and when you compose the tabs you can’t repeat periods (or at least I didn’t manage to understand how to do that), then other minor things about the responsiveness. But I also know the developers always update it and I really appreciate that, this is why I wanted to give some constructive feedback. Keep up with the good work!
The main problem is not in the app itself but in the laws of physics. It’s slower than physics by about a quarter of a second, and when playing an instrument, that quarter of a second matters a lot. I’ll try the thing where it listens to a real kalimba, if that works well, then it gets full 5/5. With just the phone, though? It lags enough for it to be noticable. That’s bad.
cannot retune the key major according to c = do major for easy learning the tabs. if this app could retune every song from others tune to c=do, this will be so perfect. hope this app will be fixed soon. another app they could retune, so we still could play the tabs in c major. but the other side, others app is very week quality of song arrangement. just only provide melody.
This app gets a ZERO, I’m writing it in; it needs to come down. The links don’t work. None of the downloads are even recognized. It’s a big time suck and for nothing but total disappointment. The only thing I could tell that worked was the instrument part. But instruments I have. ADVICE: I found an app prior to this one. You can play challenges, record your own music that you’re playing and teaches new stuff. I saw “Perfect” and “Baby Shark” and Christmas stuff. A lot of which is FREE!!
great app but everything resets itself when you leave it. once you’ve left the app, the tuning resets and the key labels are reset…. not going to keep changing everything every time I want to play, unfortunately moving on from this app…..
not a lot of Ads except one after you Play a Song sometimes every 2 or 3 songs it pops up. the selection if music is short but there are a lot of different songs so the selection makes up for it. good app
