Great app which compensates for the lack of AOD options on my Galaxy S22. I hope there are more animated backgrounds coming in the future! My only real complaint is there doesn’t seem to be a way to hide the edge panel handle on Samsung phones when AOA is running. Unless the handle moves by itself, I’m worried it will cause screen burn. Update: After using the app for a few days, it just drained my battery too quickly to be viable. Too bad.

I really like it but it I wish I could long-press to at least my home screen like with the default AOD, default will also resume back to your app, but this seems to act as its own running app, so I’m not sure that’s possible. Another thing I’m really glad I didn’t learn the hard way- when I turn on the flashlight from the AOD, it will turn off when the screen rotates between portrait and landscape. Ok when I’m just too lazy to turn on the light, not ok if I actually needed it in a tough time.

Have been using this now for about a month. For what I need it works great. I like the ability to change the font size and color for the digital clock. Battery usage is pretty low. Was hoping it would load the service on its own but it doesn’t. You have to launch the app first, then it loads the service. Is there a way to get the service to load after a restart? Update: v4.3.9 seems to load the service now after boot. We’ll see.

I absolutely love this app. Now I can see what time it is at night without picking up my phone. The numbers (of which you can change the colors and fonts) are big enough to see and my boyfriend had me put it on his phone as well. We are both 65 and older so the larger numbers help. Also, I love the colorful lights that circle around the edge of the phone when there is a notification and shows an icon without going into the phone. Battery usage is low on my phone. I give this 100 stars!

Couple of issues here. This is on Galaxy S10 plus running Android 10. -Battery is getting horrendously drained, about 30% in a 10 hour day -Auto brightness isn’t functioning properly. And this is in comparison to the native always on display, which does -When turning the screen off, there’s a good 2 second delay before always on display turns on -When turning on the screen while always on display is showing, there’s a good 1-2 second delay at times -Not all apps’ notifications are pushed through the always on display -There’s no option to un-group texts from the same app. For instance, if you receive multiple texts in whatsapp, they will all be grouped into one and an icon will show saying how many messages there are. Group text messages are combined into this as well, so there’s no way of telling from the always on display who the message is from and what it contains, if there are multiple, without unlocking the phone and opening the app Note: While using this app, I turned off the native always on display

As others have noted the app works great, it functions on Android 9, the Weather option is great once you get the API code. The only issue is the battery drain which makes the app not very useful. What this app needs is an option to stay on while charging and timeout after 60 second when not charging. This would reduce the battery drain and still make it useful as a table top Clock/Alarm when charging. It would be perfect if they added this option.

Samsung Galaxy Note 10+. I get a small flashing blue dot on my screen near the camera cutout. The app works, it’s just in concerned that using it will permanently damage my screen do to the constant flashing of this one pixel. (Edit: changing to 4 stars. The dot issue happens when the pocket detection is on. When it’s off, the dot appears for a second and then it’s gone. This means that the app is usable for me now, hence the change to 4 stars. Also, the app doesn’t auto start for some reason).

Bought the pro version but had to uninstall. amazing app with lots of customization. I love the notification edge lighting!!! I had two reasons i uninstalled the app, one it drains my battery, no matter how much i like adding the functionality, if my phone is dead then it doesn’t matter. second there are so many options a reset to default is needed if something isn’t working the way you wanted.

I’m blown away! I can’t stand the default AOD on my Pixel 5. The fingerprint unlock animation is just so laggy and stuttery. So I thought I’d give this app a try. I haven’t had much luck in the past with apps that take the place of system functions, but I’m amazed! Not only is this app highly customizable and easy to use, but it works so well!! Butter smooth and flawless transitions! My only knock is that it uses a lot of battery, but I work at a desk anyway, so no big deal. Great app! Thanks

Tried it and couldn’t even play with settings for 4 or 5 minutes without three long (and loud annoying) video ads. Make a YouTube video I can watch to see if I want this I don’t have the patience for more ads. It is cheap enough to remove the ads but at least give me a chance to try it. Remove ads for the first hour or two or something.
